From a Different Eye

Authors Note: Johnny Tremain a poor boy works as a silversmith for a rich family and one of the girls isn’t feeling well so they take her the sea side to get fresh air. They ask Johnny questions that he never wanted to answer, but he answers for an un-described reason.

Johnny Tremain is a poor young man who works as a silversmith for a rich guy for a place to stay and food. One of the daughter’s of the guy is having a heat stroke so they take her by the sea to cool down and they ask the story of his middle name and why he never talks about his dead mother. They ask if it’s because he hated her or loved her so much and he said he loved her so much.

On top of that Johnny really wanted to keep all of his personal stuff bottled up, so the narrator describes it as if the girls bugged him enough so that he told them about everything his mother told him even though he really didn’t want to. The girls might have thought they were being carful of what they uncovered, but Johnny really doesn’t think so.

Isannah thought about it as just Johnny being nice, but the narrator describes it as Johnny needing to get up with a moan and down and help the little girl so his master doesn’t get mad at him. Then Isannah starts to ask Johnny about his past and he doesn’t want to tell them, but she thinks it’s him being nice and Johnny is just a little annoyed. The way the narrator describes it it’s like Johnny always wants to get out away and done with everything and that he doesn’t care.
